ANC Twitter hashtag backfires in a big way
A hashtag used to promote the ANC’s upcoming 105th anniversary has backfired on Twitter as followers use the public platform to air their grievances against the party.
#WeAreANC was originally intended to be used for ANC members to share pictures, videos or stories with one another under the theme “Unity in Action”.
While many used the opportunity to poke fun at the ANC and its tumultuous 2016, some of the more popular replies took serious issue with the ruling party and the direction it was headed in 2017.
