Pick n Pay launches new online homeware store

 ·8 Nov 2022

Pick n Pay has launched a new online-only homeware store called Pick n Pay Home, which will be operational from 8 November 2022 and offer a new Smart Shopper benefit.

The new online shop will be dedicated to homeware and appliances – featuring a wide range of popular products for every room in the home.

These products include large and small appliances, televisions and tech, home and kitchenware, baby, outdoor and more. The range will also be expanded soon with the launch of new product categories to meet all Pick n Pay customers’ home requirements.

“Pick n Pick Home strongly focuses on new and exclusive online-only premium brands, such as Zwilling, Staub, and Siemens. It will also feature the latest range available in stores, such as the TCL brand, which recently launched in South Africa,” said Pick n Pay.

Customers will also earn Smart Shopper points on the new online store while getting 10% back on every purchase to spend on groceries.

“This 10% cash-back will be redeemable over 10 months in any Pick n Pay supermarket and will be automatically loaded to customers’ Smart Shopper cards.

This bonus Smart Shopper benefit is in addition to any special offer, such as its daily launch deals and upcoming Black Friday deals,” said Pick n Pay.

The retail company also said nationwide delivery would cost R99 and take place within two to five days, adding that any delivery is free for purchases over R500.

“Online home shopping has accelerated over the last few years. The new service aims to take advantage of this trend and offer an easy and convenient shopping experience,” says Pick n Pay’s retail executive Vincent Viviers.

During the last six months, Pick n Pay reported an online sales growth of 82.0%. “We have used artificial intelligence to ensure our customers get fast, personalised results for precisely what they are looking for,” he added.

Additionally, Pick n Pay launched its scheduled delivery business (www.pnp.co.za) in 2001. In October 2022, the retailer increased its on-demand offering by launching its new PnP Groceries in partnership with Mr D, tapping into Mr D’s 2.5 million active customer base.

“We are very excited about Pick n Pay Home, our latest online offering. We have built an excellent nationwide scheduled grocery business and can now deliver the same excellence for our customers’ homeware needs,” said Viviers.
