Vox telecom sale plans cancelled
Vox Telecom’s executive committee has decided to take the business off the market, and will invest in the future of the company as a stand-alone business.
In July 2014 Vox Telecom’s investors decided to explore various options to maximize the growth of the company.
“From the outset the final decision had to provide the foundation for the business to capatalise on the new and dynamic changes in the ICT landscape,” said Vox Telecom CEO Jacques du Toit.
He said there were various interactions with local and international parties, but based on a solid future strategy provided by the exco, it was decided to take the business off the market.
“This main reason for this decision was based on the fact that the current investors have faith in the economy and specifically the ICT sector,” said du Toit.
“They also believe in the strength of the Vox brand and the human capital to deliver the long-term strategy,” he added.
Du Toit said that Vox Telecom will now focus all its efforts on the following:
- Enter into new markets and products to replace “sunset products”.
- Aggressive customer acquisition (organic and acquisitive).
- Lower cost to service customers in this competitive market.
“Having finality on this matter has brought renewed energy to the team and everyone is very excited about the future,” said du Toit.
