Cell C experiencing network issues

Cell C has identified the problem affecting voice calls on its network.
“Traffic management between our two major data centres was affected. A resolution has been put in place and customers should already be seeing an improved experience. Full service will be restored shortly,” said Cell C.

Cell C subscribers around the country are reporting that they are unable to make or receive calls on the network.
Cell C said it is aware of the issue, and its technicians were working to fix the issue.
“We are currently experiencing a call set-up issue which is preventing some calls from going through when customers are dialing a number,” said Cell C.
“We apologise for the inconvenience.”
Users have been reporting problems on the web, including Facebook and Twitter.
Twitter comment included: “I can’t receive calls on Cell C’s network”; “Can’t make calls, says System Busy”; and “What’s wrong with your call centres?”.
Mobile data connectivity for many users appears to be operating as normal.
According to the website Downdetector, Cell C has been experiencing problems since early on Friday morning.
