In this Business Talk with Michael Avery interview, Nicole Moonsamy discusses the IDC and how it is helping entrepreneurs and startups.

Moonsamy is the Head of Textiles and Wood Products at the Industrial Development Corporation and has worked there for over 15 years.

She recently assumed her current position in April 2026, but prior to this, she held multiple other leadership roles at the organisation.

This included serving as the IDC Business Development Manager for nearly six years and as a Senior Deal Maker for nine years.

The IDC is a state-owned national development financial institution that supports entrepreneurs and businesses in driving growth, creating jobs, and promoting economic empowerment across South Africa.
