Facebook is experiencing downtime for the second time in a week. Many users took to Twitter to report problems loading the website on Monday evening.

Some of the messages which greeted unhappy Facebook members are “Service Unavailable” or “Sorry, something went wrong” when trying to load the website.

Others received the message “Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed”.

The cause of the problem was not immediately known, and it is not clear whether it is related to downtime which was experienced a few days ago.

TheNextWeb reported that Facebook also experienced outages on 17 September and on 24 September.

“While the outages didn’t last very long, it’s very unusual to have so many of them concentrated around a relatively brief time period,” TheNextweb said.
