Investec has joined the likes of personal finance companies such as 22seven and Nedbank’s My Financial Life in offering an online platform for clients to manage their finances.

The group’s new digital offering – Investec Online – allows the finacial group’s clients to view and manage all of their local and international accounts through one, consolidated dashboard.

According to Investec, clients can also get a full view of their balance sheet by using ‘My Personal Portfolio’, a tool within Investec Online.

This tool also enables clients to import any external accounts, globally, which include financial accounts, investments, rewards, insurance and assets.

Clients can also access income and spend tools that analyse expenditure across their Investec accounts through real-time illustrated charts.

The system automatically allocates income and expense into relevant categories and enables users to track their spending patterns.

Investec Online allows clients to transact with Investec both locally and internationally through the website, or the mobile and tablet apps, the group said.

The group said has adopted additional security measures – namely, second factor authentication – to ensure that clients’ accounts cannot be compromised.
