South African business school named among the best in the world
CEO magazine has released its Global MBA rankings for 2017, detailing the best places to obtain your Masters in Business Administration around the world.
The list is based on a combined weighting of rankings including the quality of the faculty, level of international diversity, class size, accreditation and price.
While the list is predominantly focused on American institutions, CEO magazine also looked at international degrees in Asia, Europe, Australia and Africa. Only one African university featured on the list however – the University of Witwatersrand’s Business School, which was named as a Tier 1 institution.
This places it in the same category as other world renowned international universities including Georgia State, the University of Liverpool and overall winner, the University of Ottawa.
The ranking puts Wits Business School as the best place to obtain an MBA in South Africa.
An earlier ranking published by the Financial Times in January 2017 saw the prestigious Cape Town’s Graduate School of Business (GSB) fall off the international rankings altogether.
