Load shedding pushed to stage 3
Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will be higher on Sunday, 4 February.
Due to the need to further replenish emergency reserves in preparation for the week ahead, Stage 3 load shedding has been implemented from 02:00, and will continue until further notice.
Eskom said it will closely monitor the power system and communicate any further changes should it be required.
The utility previously intended to keep load shedding at stage 2 for the weekend.
