Load shedding back at stage 4
Power utility Eskom says it had to push load shedding to stage 4 in the early hours of Thursday morning (22 February) following the breakdown of five generating units.
Due to the loss of five generating units at Kendal Power Station and a generating unit at Duvha Power Station, Stage 4 load shedding was implemented at 04h00.
This will continue until further notice, the group said.
“Eskom will closely monitor the power system and communicate should any significant changes occur.,” it said.
