Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will be suspended for the rest of Tuesday (26 March) until Wednesday afternoon, when a further update will be announced.

Load shedding was previously scheduled to move to stage 2 on Tuesday, but the return of six generating units has allowed the utility to keep the daytime suspension going.

Eskom said that load shedding would be suspended from 16h00 on Tuesday until 16h00 on Wednesday, with an update expected in the afternoon.

This is the schedule as it stands:

Tuesday, 26 March
