No load shedding to continue into the weekend
Power utility Eskom says that load shedding will remain suspended until a further update is announced on Sunday.
Esom said Load shedding will remain suspended until further notice following nine consecutive days of non-implementation.
“This decision is a result of sustained available generation capacity and adequate emergency reserves,” it said.
Eskom added it would provide a system update on Sunday afternoon or communicate any significant changes should they occur.
The evening peak demand tonight is expected to reach 25 465MW.
