The R45 million luxury home for sale in Cape Town’s lifestyle hotspot

An architecturally striking family home in Camps Bay, Cape Town, is on sale for just under R45 million, with the area having seen a massive rise in house prices since the start of the decade.
Pam Golding said the family home is on three levels, has high ceilings, and extensive outdoor spaces.
The property’s elevated, exclusive position gives it access to Camps Bay’s best views of the surrounding mountains and scenic coastline.
The house has five en-suite bathrooms, with wall-to-wall glazing offering panaoramic views.
The property was completed in 2022 and covers three expansive levels with each floor featuring a variety of open-plan lounges and entertainment areas.
All floors have vast glass sliders that lead onto patios with impressive concrete overhangs, complementing the home’s modern appeal.
Two pools, a diverse garden, and an astro turf lawn allow space for outdoor entertainment and leisure time.
The property also caters to those who desire the finer things in life, with quality finishes throughout.
The property has solar-generated back-up electricity, fitted double glazing, solid oak flooring and electric blinds.
The lock-up garage can fit four to five vehicles and additional covered carports can meet larger parking requirements.
Camps Bay booms
Camps Bay is one of the best-performing areas in Cape Town for luxury properties, as many enjoy the high-quality amenities on offer.
Claude McKirby, Co-Principal for Lew Geffen Sotheby’s International Realty, said that access to lifestyle amenities, including shopping centres, restaurants, and beaches, massively impacts property value.
McKirby noted that areas offering a high quality of life tend to attract more buyers and see steady price growth.
Properties in Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard are case in point, with Camps Bay and Clifton highly sought after due to their proximity to the beach, vibrant nightlife and breathtaking views.
Ross Levin, a licensee for Seeff Atlantic Seaboard, also noted that sales of luxury trophy homes priced over R20 million increased to a record high in Q1 2025 this year, including significant sales in Camps Bay.
Propstats data shows a record 53 high-value sales worth over R1.6 billion in the first three months of this year. Levin noted that wealthy buyers see Cape Town property as a good store of wealth.
Cape Town is also drawing buyers from all over South Africa and the globe. Seeff noted an influx of semi-urban buyers from Gauteng and KZN to Cape Town.
Buyers from the UK and Germany also invest heavily in South Africa, mostly cash buyers.
In Camps Bay, Seeff sold a R45 million home to a local buyer, a R21 million home to a German buyer, and a R33.75 million home to a British buyer in a shared sale.
Camps Bay is the third most expensive area for luxury buyers in Cape Town, with luxury properties fetching over R24.1 million. Only Clifton and Bishopscourt surpass Camps Bay’s prices.
The high price growth in Camps Bay has skyrocketed since the start of the decade, when luxury property prices were R13.18 million, R10 million less than today’s prices.
