He leverages his extensive knowledge of local and international tax laws and analytical capabilities in this role to ensure the best possible results.

Broun has worked in his current position for over 11 years and, prior to this, oversaw Capital Gains Tax and Corporate Actions at Sanlam Private Wealth for over five years.

In this role, he advised on capital gains tax (CGT) implications for local and foreign funds, and tax compliance for individuals, trusts, companies, non-profit organisations, and deceased estates.

Broun also worked as an Auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for over three years before joining Sanlam Private Wealth.

He boasts a Master’s Degree in International Tax from the University of Cape Town, a Postgraduate Qualification in Taxation from the University of South Africa, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Western Cape.
