Petrol price: good news for motorists

The price of petrol will decrease by 73 cents a litre from midnight next Tuesday.
The wholesale price of diesel with a sulphur content of 0.05 percent will drop by 55.560 cents a litre, and diesel with a sulphur content of 0.005 percent by 56.560 cents a litre, the energy department said on Friday.
The wholesale price of illuminating paraffin would decrease by 58 cents a litre.
The department said that in the period under review, the average international product prices of petrol, diesel, and illuminating paraffin decreased.
The average rand/US dollar exchange rate strengthened compared to the previous period.
