Samsung introduces Bixby – a smarter way to use your phone

Bixby is Samsung’s own AI assistant, rivalling the likes of Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, but it goes so much further beyond voice.

Bixby makes your phone helpful – assisting in completing tasks, telling you what you’re looking at, learning your routine and remembering what you need to do.

While you can ask the smart assistant to carry out tasks like turning on the flashlight or taking a selfie, you can also ask more complex questions such as “Find photos I took in Spain and create an album called ‘Vacation’.”

Bixby can be activated by pressing a dedicated button on the side of the S8 and S8+ or the newly unveiled Note 8 or by saying the wake phrase “Hi Bixby”.
