New Dyness batteries will help South Africans beat load-shedding

As part of its first-ever South African Roadshow, Dyness recently unveiled its newest battery products coming to South Africa.
Dyness Country Manager SA Gavin Tong explained their new batteries will help South Africans negate the many challenges that load-shedding causes in their homes and businesses.
He then emphasized that, given the high stages of load-shedding the country has experienced this winter, the need for energy storage solutions has never been more crucial.
“Dyness is famous for its products’ performance, and we are taking this chance to bring our latest products here to grow with our South African customers,” said Tong.
CNBM – the local distributor of Dyness battery – co-hosted the event and added its commitment to delivering the best systems for beating load-shedding in the country.
“We will continue our close partnership and strive to improve the living conditions of the people of South Africa and the renewable industry,” said CNBM South Africa General Manager Xianping Qian.

DL5.0C storage solutions
The first new products Dyness unveiled at its South African Roadshow were the DL5.0C and DL5.0X low-voltage battery solutions – which offer C-rates of 1C and 1.5C respectively.
C-rate measures a battery’s rate of discharge, with a C-rate of 1C translating to the DL5.0C taking an hour to discharge its battery at its maximum output rate of 100A.
1C and higher C-rates are rare in this segment, showing that Dyness is committed to bringing superior technologies to South African customers.
Alongside the impressive C-rates, you can also link up to 50 of these units in parallel – providing a total capacity of 256kWh
DH200F
Dyness then unveiled its DH200F all-in-one battery system for South Africa.
This product targets commercial and industrial-grade solar installations, thanks to its IP55 certification, and built-in air conditioning and fire extinguisher.
Each DH200F unit then comprises 15 battery modules that provide a combined 215kWh of capacity and 100kW of output power.
These units can also be linked in parallel to provide huge power storage capabilities.
Off-grid systems are expandable in parallel up to 1MWh by linking five cabinets, while on-grid systems can run up to 12 cabinets in parallel for up to 2.5MWh capacity.
