- Jade Vorster – Gymnast
Jade Vorster was selected to join a high-performance programme in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics at the age of six and currently requires between 15-30 hours of training per week.
Vorster has won countless medals at Western Cape and South African gymnastic events over the years and will compete for South Africa at the Junior Olympic level next year.
- Willem Van der Merwe – Archer
Willem Van der Merwe was part of Namibia’s National Development Team that participated at the Africa Genesis Archery World Tournament.
He achieved gold medals for Bullseye in the Namibia Junior Boys Group, and the 3D Animal Round in the Namibia Junior Boys Group.
- Chloe Nortje – Ballet
South African Chloe Nortje earned ballet distinctions for two repertoire exams and high distinction for her intermediate RAD ballet exam.
She auditioned for Val Whyte and was selected to dance at Joburg Ballet in 2024.
Nortje also danced in London in April at the Royal Ballet School, and was awarded an A++ for her first contemporary competition.
- Brason Pitchford – Motorcross
Brason Pitchford was chosen to represent Zambia at the Motorcross Cup of African Nations, and was placed first from the Zambian team, and 16th out of 32 riders.
- Delante Iannetti – Cricket
Delante Iannetti was selected to play for the Czech Republic National Women’s Cricket Team in August 2023, and again in November 2023.
- Tapiwa Lwazi Xaba – Social Equality
South African student Tapiwa Lwazi Xaba earned a place in the UWC Redeq 2023 Short Course programme, which is hosted by the United World Colleges Committee in Austria.
Spaces in this programme are highly contested, and are only allocated to students who demonstrate a passion for and a commitment to pursuing equity for all of society.
