Introducing the new Level Ring – South Africans can now tap-to-pay with their finger

Using the Level Ring
The new Level Ring is easy to use. First, you link it to your smartphone through the Level app.
Then, when you need to pay for something, you simply make a fist gesture with your hand and hold the ring above the payment terminal.
Your smartphone doesn’t need to be nearby to use this functionality either, as everything you need to make a payment is stored within the ring.
The Level Ring is also scratch-resistant, dustproof, and waterproof – and doesn’t require batteries to work.
Level has complemented this easy-to-use design with world-class safety features that offer secure and reliable transactions.
The foundation of this security is the tokenization system built into the Level Ring, which creates a unique code for each transaction – rather than using your credit card details directly.
Level has also added an extensive range of certified measures which guarantee the safety of your financial details.

Get your Level Ring
The new Level Ring was soft-launched last week and will be made fully available by the end of July.
The ring will initially work with one South African bank, and Level is working to partner with more banks to make the ring accessible to more users.
The Level Ring will be available in six variants:
- Level Ring (Black Stone) Slim
- Level Ring (Black Stone) Wide
- Level Ring (White Stone) Slim
- Level Ring (White Stone) Wide
- Level Ring (Rosé Stone) Slim
- Level Ring (Premium Silver) Slim
Interested buyers can reserve their Level Rings on the Level Pay and Level Innovations websites before the official launch.
Buying a Level Ring will also contribute to a better South Africa, as Level is donating part of its sales revenue to plant trees through its partnership with a leading NGO.
It is also committed to adding new features to the Level Ring in the future, like loyalty and reward card support, to further reduce the use of plastic cards in South Africa.
