An unparallelled range of options for a memorable holiday

MSC Musica is returning to South Africa’s waters for the 2024/25 summer season.

This elegant vessel has built up an enviable reputation as the holiday cruise ship amongst South Africans and there’s good reason for that.

MSC Musica offers a mouthwatering range of options for dining, relaxing and entertainment. From pool deck to spa, sports court to disco, theatre to cigar lounge, your every whim is catered for.

But that’s not all. Because the majority of MSC Musica’s cabins have balconies, there’s also plenty of opportunity for romantic, private time, with nothing between you and the vastness of ocean and sky.

Food is an integral part of any holiday, and MSC Musica offers a wide variety of delights sure to find favour with Mzansi’s holidaymakers.

Whether it’s fine dining you’re after, or the grand display of a buffet, an astonishing array of gastronomic adventures await.

For the home-lovers, there’s a range of some local favourites; but if you’re in a more adventurous frame of mind, all the mediterranean and international favourites your heart could wish for are there for the tasting.

Sundowners? Cocktails at noon? It’s all catered for in MSC Musica’s 12 bars and lounges. Local beers feature alongside sophisticated concoctions created by talented bartenders.

There’s a similarly large range of activities, from lounging on the glamorous pool deck to a show in the Teatro La Scala or gaming in the Sanremo Casino.

Fancy dancing? There’s a live band in the Crystal Lounge or the excitement of Q32 Disco to get your pulse racing.

Younger cruisers haven’t been forgotten. MSC Musica has dedicated Mini, Junior, Young and Teens Clubs and Amusement Arcade, and plenty of activities for them to enjoy.

A uniquely South African feature is the themed cruises. For example, this year’s schedule offers the chance to join like-minded lovers of sokkie music, or voyage in the company of leading local DJs and performers.

There is a range of other themed cruises, some of which will include stand-up comedy performances to keep the mood light.

With all this choice on offer, the only challenge is how to make sure you don’t miss out. That’s where the MSC For Me app comes in.

It streamlines your onboard experience, enabling you to orient yourself quickly and see what’s going on. MSC For Me is also a great way to keep in touch with your party.

MSC Musica is now connected to the Starlink satellite network with enhanced internet speed, so it’s easy to keep in touch with family and friends on shore—and make sure those selfies are posted without delay!

For a seamless journey from start to finish, MSC Cruises now offers guests the chance to book, not just their cruise but flights as well with the Fly&Cruise.

The Stay&Cruise hotel options are also available for those guests who wish to extend their holiday, either before or after their cruise.

In addition, from the upcoming season, MSC Cruises will introduce the MSC Privé Lounge, for an expedited experience during embarkation.

With the purchase of the MSC Privé Lounge experience, guests receive priority embarkation at the Nelson Mandela Cruise Terminal in Durban.

This includes a dedicated baggage drop-off area and check-in counter, priority security screening, expedited immigration procedures and access to the MSC Privé Lounge where guests can enjoy light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages.

There’s a range of departures to choose from including the ever-popular Christmas cruise departing on 23 December 2024 for 6 nights and New Year’s cruise departing on 29 December 2025 for 12 nights.

Both departures offer every member of the family a wide range of activities, more than enough to fill the days at sea with new discoveries for each guest’s duration onboard.

And with MSC Cruises’ value for money packages, making cruising your next holiday will give you bang for your buck!

MSC Musica sails to several exciting destinations, including Pomene and Portuguese Island in Mozambique, La Possession in Reunion, Port Louis in Mauritius, Walvis Bay in Namibia and, of course Durban, and Cape Town.

Itinerary permitting, these destinations are a great opportunity to experience the local ambiance.
