According to HP’s 2024 Work Relationship Index, only 28% of professionals report a healthy relationship with their work, a distressing figure considering how much of our time we spend working and developing in our careers.

At HP Amplify 2025, HP made it clear that it’s not just responding to this challenge but actively shaping the solution while utilising the newest technologies to do so. 

The announcement of more than 80 new products and services wasn’t just a showcase of innovation, but a vision for how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can fundamentally transform work for the better.

AI That Works the Way We Do

That ethos is visible across the entire product suite announced at Amplify 2025. From smarter AI powered PCs to more intuitive printers, the focus is clear: using AI to remove friction, enhance creativity, and enable people to thrive wherever they work.

“Workplace technology shouldn’t just keep up with trends; it should anticipate needs, adapt seamlessly, and empower employees in ways that are genuinely human-centric,” Lores said. 

A New Generation of AI PCs

HP’s latest AI PC lineup represents a leap forward in personal computing. With models like the EliteBook 8 Series, EliteDesk 8 Series, and OmniBook X Series, HP is embedding AI into the core of the computing experience. 

The increasing ubiquity of AI technology means its use must go beyond simply being a gimmick, but as a powerful engine for smarter workflows.

Features like dedicated NPUs (neural processing units), advanced power efficiency, and even quantum-resilient security reflect an intentional, measured use of this new technology. 

Meanwhile, software like HP AI Companion (a device-based research assistant) and HP Go for global connectivity, show that the company is thinking not just about raw performance, but the real-world needs of modern professionals.

Elevating Performance with HP Z Workstations & Solutions

One of the most notable evolutions came with the unveiling of HP Z as a distinct product line, a high-performance range of secure workstation computers. 

Long known for its performance pedigree, HP Z is now reimagined to offer a more cohesive and tailored experience for engineers, creatives, and data scientists. 

The new ZBook Ultra 14 G1a and Z2 Mini G1a laptops are designed with performance-hungry professionals in mind, delivering optimised workflows for demanding software like SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk Revit. 

But beyond hardware, HP is also investing in the software layer with tools like the HP Data Science Software Stack Manager, AI Studio, and GenAI Lab, providing users with the frameworks they need to innovate responsibly and efficiently. 

Rethinking Print in the AI Era

HP is also bringing AI innovation to an often-overlooked part of the workflow: printing. With new capabilities like automatic summarisation and email drafting from scanned documents, as well as AI-powered redaction for sensitive data, the humble office printer is becoming a smarter, more secure part of the digital ecosystem. 

New launches like the LaserJet Enterprise 8000 Series and Latex R530 Printer demonstrate how even legacy categories can be transformed through the lens of AI and futureproof security.

The takeaway from Amplify 2025 is not just that HP is building more powerful devices. Rather it’s rethinking what those devices mean in the context of work.
