Afrihost receives 2025 MyBroadband Award trophy for Best ISP in South Africa

 ·4 Jun 2025

The coveted 2025 MyBroadband Award for Best Internet Service Provider in South Africa has been awarded to Afrihost – the ISP that stood out in a fiercely competitive local market.

MyBroadband presented the trophy to Afrihost CEO Gian Visser at their offices in Sandton.

This is the third consecutive time Afrihost has won the prestigious award, showing its ongoing commitment to South African consumers and businesses.

The achievement is particularly impressive given that MyBroadband pits the best South African technology companies against each other across a wide range of categories.

These include:

  • Range of products and services
  • Quality of products and services
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Impact of products and services on customers
  • Innovation

Based on these criteria, winning the Best ISP of the Year award shows that Afrihost is leading the charge in adopting the latest technologies, improving network resilience, and providing South Africans with high-speed internet.

A well-deserved win

Afrihost has made a continuous effort to lead the sector and improve its reputation over the past decade, climbing from eleventh in the South African ISP rankings in 2017 to second in October 2020.

In 2023, Afrihost was crowned the ISP of the Year by MyBroadband. It won the award again in 2024, and has now achieved a trio of successes.

By focusing heavily on offering aggressively priced products and excellent customer service, Afrihost has ensured that it holds onto its crown year after year.

As the demand for fast, reliable internet continues to grow in South Africa, Afrihost has proven that it is ready to lead the way — and its 2025 MyBroadband Award for Best ISP stands as proof.
