Exness’ new Cape Town office is a big milestone for the South African financial sector
Exness has officially opened its South African office following four highly successful years of operating in the country.
The new office opened on 10 November with a ceremony attended by Exness’ leadership and local financial experts.
Exness chose South Africa for this office because it needed an effective headquarters for its business in Sub-Saharan Africa.
South Africa was the ideal choice for this initiative, as it accounts for nearly 40% of Africa’s total fintech revenue and boasts a robust banking sector with high digital adoption and a culture of innovation.
The country also boasts Africa’s largest community of experienced traders and investors.
These factors are central to Exness’ focus on shaping the future of the rapidly growing fintech market in South Africa.
“The Cape Town office reinforces our belief that the future of trading will be defined as much in emerging markets as in traditional financial hubs,” said Saheed Akinbiyi, Exness South Africa Country Manager.
“For South African traders, the new Cape Town office is a bridge between global expertise and local opportunity.”

Local talent
Exness’ strategy, regardless of its location, is to employ local talent, as this ensures smoother operational efficiency in the region.
“We are a tech company, but we are also a people company. Local talent is what gives our regional operations authenticity, insight, and resilience,” said Akinbiyi.
“Technology may power our platform, but people are the ones who bring understanding, trust, and connection to the markets we serve.”
By recruiting locally, Exness is also able to create localised solutions with a better understanding of its target market.
“It’s also a signal of trust: a long-term commitment to the South African market and to building a more transparent and responsible trading environment,” said Akinbiyi.
“Ultimately, this office is about partnership: empowering South African traders with the tools, access, and support they need to keep elevating their strategies and shaping the future of trading in the region.”
Planning for the future
Establishing an office in Cape Town is a strategic move by Exness that will strengthen its connection with African traders and allow it to tailor its services to the diverse needs of the local markets.
It will enable the organisation to respond more quickly to local events with efficient operational support and provide a foundation for its educational outreach initiatives.
“It also reinforces Exness’ broader goal: to raise the standards of transparency, technology, and trader experience across sub-Saharan Africa,” said Akinbiyi.
“In many ways, Cape Town will act as the launchpad for our next phase of sustainable growth across the continent.”
