Xiaomi launches Robot Vacuum 6 series in South Africa
Xiaomi has expanded its smart home product range by launching the Robot Vacuum 6 series in South Africa.
The line-up includes the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6, Robot Vacuum 6 Pro and Robot Vacuum 6 Max, each offering excellent features and value in its respective segment.
One of the standout features of the range is its incredible suction power, with both the Vacuum 6 and Vacuum 6 Pro offering 30,000Pa, while the range-topping Vacuum 6 Max puts out a remarkable 35,000Pa.
All vacuums also have intelligent features such as automated mop cleaning and intelligent obstacle detection, reducing the amount of time you spend managing the device.
We unpack the key features of each new model, below.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6

The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 is the most affordable model in this range – but it is far from entry-level in its features.
With 30,000Pa of suction power, it sucks up even the toughest dirt, while its roller mop pad performs exceptionally for wet cleaning.
Additional convenience features include the ability to climb obstacles up to 4cm, and a built-in AI-powered camera that recognises over 220 different obstacle types.
With a sleek design, the Robot Vacuum 6 can fit into tighter spaces – particularly under furniture.
This ensures a comprehensive and truly autonomous home clean.
Its base station is also incredibly impressive.
It supports 80-degree hot-water mop washing and can handle up to 75 days of hands-free cleaning.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 is priced at R13,799.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Pro

Xiaomi’s Robot Vacuum 6 Pro offers several significant improvements over the standard model, primarily focused on intelligence.
Its triple-camera AI system can recognise more than 280 objects, including those as small as 3mm.
Simultaneously, 360-degree LiDAR ensures seamless navigation around your home – and the Pro model can even detect your pet to avoid bumping into it.
Combining the AI camera system and this pet detection technology means you can even check in on your pets while at work through the Xiaomi Mi Home app.
For a more intelligent clean, Xiaomi has equipped the Pro model to recognise 47 stain types and automatically adjust its cleaning approach accordingly.
It will increase suction for particle-based messes, wash its mop before re-addressing liquid spills, and actively avoid complex solid-liquid hybrid spills if it is concerned it would simply smear it across the floor.
Cleaning is further optimised with the roller mopping system that features 16 water outlets.
This keeps the mop moist, while dual extending mechanical arms improve coverage along walls and in corners.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Pro is priced at R21,999.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max

The Robot Vacuum 6 Max is the flagship model in this range, and is headlined by increased 35,000Pa suction power.
It retains the Pro model’s innovative triple-camera AI recognition system, while a retractable dToF radar system helps the vacuum adjust to its surroundings when navigating low-clearance areas.
A standout feature of this robot vacuum is its set of bionic mechanical legs, allowing it to cross single steps that are up to 6cm high.
Its triple-mechanical-arm system then improves vacuuming and mopping coverage around edges and other difficult areas.
For further convenience, the Max model includes a self-cleaning roller, dual anti-tangle side brushes, and even a hair-cutting main brush designed to reduce debris build-up during regular use.
The accompanying Omni Station provides automated hot-water washing and drying for the mop system.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 Max is priced at R24,999.
