Top Google searches in SA in 2014

Google has released its 2014 Year in Search report, which shows that Senzo Meyiwa, Ebola, Robin Williams and Oscar Pistorius were the top trending search terms in South Africa in 2014.
The top search terms globally were Robin Williams’s death. “The passing of Robin Williams shook the world, bringing many people online to search for more information,” said Google’s vice president of search, Amit Singhal.
World Cup fever was the second hottest search trend at Google, with Ebola and tragedy-struck Malaysia Airlines taking third and fourth places.
Looking at South African searches, Google provided the following categories of top search terms.
