Westcon SA CEO steps down

Westcon SA, a member of the global Westcon Group, has announced that Jacques Malherbe has tendered his resignation as chief executive officer.

Malherbe led Westcon SA as CEO for over seven years and was instrumental in Westcon SA becoming the valued “distributor of choice” it is today, the group said in a statement.

Keith Rich, SVP AIME Region, will assume the role of interim CEO until a permanent appointment is made in the next few months.

Dean Douglas, Westcon Group CEO and President said: “I’d like to thank Jacques for his commitment and leadership of Westcon SA and we wish him well in his future endeavours. We are actively seeking a replacement for Jacques to support Westcon SA’s growth and value strategy. An announcement to that effect will be made in due course.”

Westcon SA is a distributor of converged communications solutions; focusing on tailored voice, security, mobility, storage and power solutions.
