DigiCore director murdered
Non-executive director for JSE-listed DigiCore Holdings, Nlhanhla Gasa has been found dead, according to Eyewitness News.
According to EWN, the Durban businessman’s body was found floating in the Tugela River.
Gasa is said to have ties to President Jacob Zuma.
KwaZulu-Natal police told the media outlet that they believe Gasa was attacked in his home in Umhlanga, stabbed multiple times and later dumped in the river.
Gasa was a lead independent non-executive director for Digicore Holdings Limited – an appointment he held since 2001.
DigiCore Holdings specialises in the research, design, development, manufacture, sales and support of technologically advanced GPS/GSM fleet management and vehicle tracking solutions.
Gasa also served as the Chair of the boards of ABSA Provincial KZN, Umgeni Water and Sambulo, as well as on the boards of numerous other companies and forums.
