Discovery has invited select clients to test its new WhatsApp help service called ‘Ask Discovery’.

The group said that the service features a bot and will allow users to ask a question or ask for an important document and receive an immediate answer.

“Ask Discovery, our service bot, is available on WhatsApp. You can ask a question or ask for an important document and receive an immediate answer. Discovery WhatsApp is available any time of day,” it said.

How to register

  • Confirm your phone number on the group’s registration page
  • Log in to the Discovery website
  • Type in the one-time password that Discovery will send to your phone to complete your registration.

A BusinessTech journalist was able to sign up for the service, to confirm that it is active.

Discovery was asked for comment about the new service but had not replied at the time of writing.

Virgin Active meanwhile, says that its members can earn Vitality points for completing workouts at home.

30 minutes = 100 Vitality points

“We have worked in partnership with the Vitality team, to ensure that we continue to reward you for keeping active during these uncertain and challenging times.

“For every workout, or combination of workouts, over 30 minutes you can earn 100 Vitality points per day, for this lockdown period. Each day you will have a new opportunity to earn points just by doing another 30+ minute workout,” Virgin Active said.

It noted that Vitality has also launched Vitality at Home, a new platform to help keep members healthy and stay rewarded while they achieve their fitness and nutrition goals at home.
