Top 15 best selling cars in South Africa in 2015

The Toyota Hilux pipped its rival, Ford Ranger, to the number one spot for best selling car in South Africa in 2015, although it was a close run race with the latter launching a face-lift model in October.
The Hilux brand features a range of seven types of vehicles, versus four Ranger models, including a 147kW 3.2 TDCi Wildtrak 4×4 Double Cab.
The two bakkie brands collectively sold nearly 70,000 units over the course of the year, but the real king of the road continues to be the VW Polo – through its Vivo and regular Polo vehicles which sold more than 47,000 units collectively in 2015.
Among the 15 top cars, nine were either new models, or face-lift editions.
