Watch: Trevor Noah takes on ‘fascist’ Donald Trump
·4 Mar 2016
South African born Trevor Noah, the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, has taken a swipe at Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Trump recently came under fire for unknowingly tweeting a Benito Mussolini quote, and Noah suggested that he may have more in common with the Italian leader than he realizes.
Mussolini was an Italian politician, journalist, and leader of the National Fascist Party, ruling the country as Prime Minister from 1922 until his ousting in 1943.
Noah said that based on a list of the defining features of fascism – including a “fear of outsiders,” and “resentment of national humiliation”, Trump may indeed be a fascist.
