Watch: A new song praising Hlaudi Motsoeneng

Hlaudi Motsoeneng has been honoured with a third song thanking him for this work at the SABC.

The song titled “Mokakalope” was performed  by  a group of musicians from Lesotho, called the Lesotho Allstars, and is primarily sung in SeSotho. It aired live on SABC News on 7 December.

This marks the third such song broadcast by the SABC, effectively thanking itself and Group Executive of Corporate Affairs, Hlaudi Motsoeneng, for its own policy to put 90% local music on all its radio stations.

The first song simply titled “Thank You SABC” aired in May 2016 and was publicly mandated to be played on all SABC radio stations by Motsoeneng.

His arrogance is astounding. The way he carries on you would think he was running some 3rd rate dictatorship with the title of “His Lordship, The Great & Honourable, Supreme Saviour of Local Content, Father of Broadcasting”.
