The Afrikaans news service, Netwerk24 – current digital home of newspapers Beeld, Die Burger, Volksblad and Rapport – will welcome the addition of leading Afrikaans magazines to its platform.
Huisgenoot, Sarie, Kuier, Tuis, Weg, Weg Ry & Sleep, Landbouweekblad, Baba en Kleuter, TV-Plus, Finweek and SA Jagter will now all be accessible to Netwerk24 subscribers. Netwerk24 said that there will be a new masthead and additional new content to click on when you visit the website.
All of the magazines look like the printed versions – just click and turn the page or swipe on your cellphone or tablet to the following page, Netwerk24 said.
You also get the e-versions of the Afrikaans daily newspapers Beeld, Die Burger and Volksblad, as well as Sunday’s Rapport and 30 community papers including TygerBurger, Paarl Post, Weslander, Kalahari Bulletin and Vrystaat.
From 1 November all those websites will also contain most of the articles of that particular week or month’s print magazine in web format for the sake of easy reading, Netwerk24 said. The online magazine articles will only be available to Netwerk24 subscribers.
