Google’s Motorola acquisition has no affect in SA

Earlier this week Google completed its $12.5 billion (USD) purchase of Motorola Mobility after the deal received approval from the Chinese government.
Former president of Google’s Americas region, Dennis Woodside, took the helm at Motorola with former chief executive Sanjay Jha stepping aside.
Asked what impact the deal would have on the South African operations of the two companies, both Google and Motorola indicated that it would be business as usual.
“There are no changes to announce,” Motorola told MyBroadband. “Motorola Mobility is owned by Google but will keep its operations separate.”
