Another big company officially adopts hybrid work hours in South Africa
Mazda Southern Africa is moving to a new local headquarters and is introducing a hybrid work model into its operations.
Mazda will now have its local head office at the Hertford Office Park, Midrand.
“We saw an opportunity to move to a space that better reflects Mazda’s brand repositioning and at the same time accommodate for the changes that have taken place in office and workplace environments,” said Craig Roberts, MD of Mazda Southern Africa.
The new workplace is designed to improve the working environment for all team members due to its convenient and central location, office design and available amenities.
Moreover, the group will also incorporate a hybrid working model into its operations.
“We recognise that the traditional corporate office environment is no longer as effective as is required and no longer appeals to all employees,” said Roberts.
“In today’s world of instant and immediate demands on operations, Mazda knows that employee well-being and work-life balance are essential for employees to deliver on their work objectives.”
The group is also introducing a WhatsApp and Call-in number, which will be used as a dedicated ‘open line’ for customers to contact the head office. This forms part of the group’s efforts to simplify communications with its customers.
