Naspers operations head passes away

The head of MIH and Naspers’s (NPN) internet worldwide operations‚ Antonie Roux‚ died on Sunday‚ according to a report by News24.

Roux died in a hospital in Heidelberg‚ Germany‚ after undergoing surgery. He was 54‚ it was reported on the News24 website.

Roux joined the Naspers group in 1979 and was a founding member of M-Net in 1985. In 1997‚ he was appointed CEO of MWeb SA and in 2002 was named CEO of Naspers’s internet operations. From April 2011‚ Roux was CEO of the MIH group.
