Telkom appoints chief risk officer
Telkom says it has finalized its executive committee through the appointment of Ouma Rasethaba as chief risk officer with immediate effect.
Rasethaba was previously chief of regulatory and corporate affairs, Telkom CEO Sipho Maseko told staff in an internal letter.
“Apart from the chief financial officer position, which is currently filled by Deon Fredericks in an acting capacity, the EXCO structure is now finalised,” he said.
Maseko noted that Rasethaba has been with Telkom since 2006, first as group executive for regulatory and public policy, and later as chief of corporate governance.
As chief risk officer Rasethaba will be responsible for overall control of Telkom’s risk management processes – the identification, assessment and response to those risk that influence Telkom achieving its objectives.
“Ouma will also, as she’s done in the past, lead the team from Group Legal Services which includes the implementation of good Corporate Governance principles,” the CEO said.
