Knight Frank‘s research is based on a Prime International Residential Index (PIRI), which tracks the value of luxury homes in 100 key locations worldwide.

New York and London have regularly switched position over the years, – both cities currently sit in 3rd and 4th position respectively – preceded only by Hong Kong, with Monaco offering the least floor space for the price paid.
