 ·2 Jun 2017

A six hundred thousand square metre wine farm has come onto the market in Stellenbosch with an asking price of R125 million.

The 590 hectare historic wine estate is fully developed with the best grape cultivars for the soil on the farm, according to property agent Pam Golding.

The main building comprise a grand manor house, manager’s house, 28 labourers’ cottages and an implement store.

The cellar capacity is 1,000 tons.

And with the Western Cape in the grip of its worst drought in more than a century, the farm relies on water from its natural catchment area, stored in a dam and a second dam is filled from 2 boreholes.
