Luxury Swiss watchmaker, Tag Heuer, has set a date for the launch of its Android Wear smartwatch, the Tag Heuer Connected.<\/p>\n

The watch will be unveiled at an event in New York on 9 November, and the Swiss company has launched a website<\/a> counting down the days the the event.<\/p>\n

“Tag Heuer is pushing the Swiss avant-garde limits even further with the Tag Heuer Connected. Tradition meets innovation, craftsmanship meets savoir-faire, and bold style meets breakthrough technology,” a statement said on the website.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tag Heuer Connected has been developed in partnership with Intel and Google.<\/p>\n

It is believed that the watch will cost $1,400 (R18,860).<\/p>\n

Last week, Apple revealed its watch prices for South Africa, ranging\u00a0 between R5,899 and R18,499.<\/p>\n

Tag tweeted the first image of what the watch is expected to look like:<\/p>\n
