Listed ICT group, EOH has acquired rail automation and technology company, Mehleketo.<\/p>\n
Mehleketo has a turnover of over R300 million, technology partnerships with the major international rail automation technology OEM\u2019s and about 350 employees.<\/p>\n
The group focuses on rail signaling, communications engineering and systems integration in South Africa and has a number of long-term project and maintenance and support contracts with the major operators in the country.<\/p>\n
According to EOH Group CEO, Asher Bohbot, the acquisition is part of the company’s growth strategy.<\/p>\n
“Our Industrial Technology division, of which rail technology is part, is a major component of our growth strategy.”<\/p>\n
“This division\u2019s services, which are critical for the infrastructure development required in South Africa and the rest of Africa, include services and solutions in energy, water, connectivity and transport \/ rail,” he said.<\/p>\n
