{"id":105291,"date":"2015-11-26T12:44:29","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T10:44:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=105291"},"modified":"2015-11-27T10:24:15","modified_gmt":"2015-11-27T08:24:15","slug":"here-is-the-expected-petrol-price-for-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/105291\/here-is-the-expected-petrol-price-for-december\/","title":{"rendered":"Here is the expected petrol price for December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Petrol is set for a drop of approximately six cents a litre for unleaded 95, and two cents a litre for 93, next Wednesday, 2 December.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to the Automobile Association (AA), using data from the Central Energy Fund (CEF).<\/p>\n<p>The price reduction for diesel is expected to be two to four cents a litre, with illuminating paraffin down by a cent, the AA said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expected petrol prices for December (inland)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Petrol 93 &#8211; <strong>R12.06<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Petrol 95 &#8211; <strong>R12.33<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Diesel (0.05%) &#8211; <strong>R10.82<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Illuminating paraffin &#8211; <strong>R7.08<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8220;The weakening rand has yet again seen South African motorists miss out on substantial drops in international oil prices,&#8221; the association said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Almost 60 cents a litre in price relief has been lost to the rand in the past two months.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fuel prices are set to show only slight declines at month end, as the benefits of the retreating oil price continue to be offset by a weaker rand.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If the rand had held steady at its early-November levels, we would be expecting fuel prices to drop by 25 to 30 cents a litre thanks to a weaker oil price,&#8221; the AA said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;However, the month-end pictures mirrors that seen at mid-month and the decline in the rand\/US dollar exchange rate has closely matched oil&#8217;s gains.
