{"id":108099,"date":"2016-01-05T13:58:03","date_gmt":"2016-01-05T11:58:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=108099"},"modified":"2016-01-05T13:58:03","modified_gmt":"2016-01-05T11:58:03","slug":"here-is-where-you-can-get-your-matric-results-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/trending\/108099\/here-is-where-you-can-get-your-matric-results-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Here is where you can get your matric results online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The matric results for the class of 2015 will be released by the Department of Education on 5 January at 18:00, with individual results set to be available from\u00a06 January.<\/p>\n<p>Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga will first announce the national pass rate on television at 18:00 on Tuesday, 5 January 2016 for pupils who wrote the exams administered by the department.<\/p>\n<p>All results, except those for Western Cape, will go live on the department\u2019s website <a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.gov.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.dbe.gov.za<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 674,232 full-time and 127,456 part-time matric candidates enrolled to write.<\/p>\n<p>Schools in all provinces, except the Western Cape, will open at 08:00 for pupils to fetch results and collect their National Senior Certificate.<\/p>\n<p>Pupils in Western Cape would have to wait longer than the rest of the country, and would be able to collect their results at schools from noon on January 6, and online from 14:00 of the same day.<\/p>\n<p>Spokesperson Jessica Shelver said this was so that school principals could analyse the results and check for any discrepancies.<\/p>\n<p>This means that the Western Cape\u2019s results would not be online with the rest of the country at midnight on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>They would be online from 14:00 on Wednesday on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.westerncape.gov.za\/service\/examination-information-and-results\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.westerncape.gov.za\/service\/examination-information-and-results<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Matric exam quality assurer, Umalusi, has already warned that the national pass rate will be lower than the 75.8% for the class of 2014.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Matric results online<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are several sites available to learners who want to receive their results online.<\/p>\n<p>These include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.enca.com\/matricresults\/\" target=\"_blank\">eNCA Matric Results 2015<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/matric.ewn.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\">EWN Matric Results 2015<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/matricresults.news24.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Matric Results by News24<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.gov.za\/MatricResults\/ExamResults\/tabid\/175\/Default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Education Exam Results<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How to get matric results via SMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Education in partnership with SABC Education will allow students to receive their results via SMS or through a USSD service \u2013 as detailed below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SMS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Send an SMS to 35658<br \/>\nThe SMS should consist of your ID number and student number.<br \/>\nThe system verifies the ID number and the exam number;
