Cell C plans to launch its fibre-to-the-home service by the end of February, which will offer large data allowances at aggressive prices.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Bruce Whitfield on CNBC\u2019s MoneyMakers<\/strong><\/a>, Cell C CEO Jose dos Santos said they will launch FTTH products within the next 4 to 5 weeks, with innovative pricing.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to come out with some very aggressive fibre-to-the-home packages,\u201d said dos Santos.<\/p>\n He said the days of 10GB, 20GB, or 30GB data packages are over. \u201cWe are looking at packages of 200GB and 300GB,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Dos Santos said South Africans are looking for high broadband speeds, fuelled by video streaming services like ShowMax and Netflix.<\/p>\n He said\u00a0that while consumers want high speeds and large data allowances, they are tired of paying exorbitant prices for these services.<\/p>\n Cell C, said dos Santos, will address this with its FTTH products.<\/p>\n Cell C warns of \u201charmful\u201d WhatsApp regulation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Details emerge on Cell C JSE listing date<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\nMore on Cell C<\/h3>\n
