Listed telecoms group Huge has appointed Zunaid Bulbulia as an independent non-executive director of the company and a member of the Audit Committee.<\/p>\n
Bulbulia was one of the founding members of the MTN team.<\/p>\n
During his 20 years with MTN South Africa he served as financial manager and in\u00a0 various\u00a0 GM positions, including GM of subscriber operations and service operations.<\/p>\n
He\u00a0 was appointed CFO of MTN South Africa\u00a0 in\u00a0 2005 and CEO in May 2013. In August 2014 he was appointed group chief operations executive of MTN Group.<\/p>\n
As CEO of MTN South Africa and\u00a0 goup chief operations executive for MTN Group, he\u00a0 was tasked with bolstering MTN\u2019s competitive position in the various markets in which MTN operates.<\/p>\n
He left MTN Group in December 2015 to pursue various business opportunities.<\/p>\n
Bulbulia holds a BCom Accounting Degree from the University of Witwatersrand, as well as a BCompt Honours (CTA)\u00a0 from\u00a0 the University of South Africa and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.<\/p>\n
