{"id":113258,"date":"2016-02-18T14:17:12","date_gmt":"2016-02-18T12:17:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=113258"},"modified":"2016-02-18T14:17:12","modified_gmt":"2016-02-18T12:17:12","slug":"jamie-oliver-to-open-a-restaurant-in-joburg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/lifestyle\/113258\/jamie-oliver-to-open-a-restaurant-in-joburg\/","title":{"rendered":"Jamie Oliver to open a restaurant in Joburg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A branch of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver&#8217;s Italian restaurants will soon be hitting the Johannesburg food scene.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming speculation around the move, Melrose Arch, a retail space located in Illovo and owned by Amdec Group, said that it is &#8220;excited to be welcoming Jamie&#8217;s Italian by Jamie Oliver&#8221;, promising more details soon.<\/p>\n<p>According to South African foodie publication, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eatout.co.za\/article\/jamies-italian-coming-johannesburg\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eat Out<\/a>, Jamie Oliver&#8217;s communication director Louise Ludlum confirmed that there were plans to bring the Naked Chef&#8217;s restaurant to Joburg.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re looking into the prospect of bringing Jamie\u2019s Italian to South Africa and are currently in discussions to make this happen.
