{"id":114754,"date":"2016-02-29T15:09:57","date_gmt":"2016-02-29T13:09:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=114754"},"modified":"2016-02-29T15:09:57","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T13:09:57","slug":"what-south-africans-really-think-about-racism-and-affirmative-action","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/lifestyle\/114754\/what-south-africans-really-think-about-racism-and-affirmative-action\/","title":{"rendered":"What South Africans really think about racism and affirmative action"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A new report by the Institute of Race Relations (IRR) reveals the opinions of South Africans of all races when it comes to issues of racism and affirmative action.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, IRR commissioned a national opinion survey of public attitudes to race, empowerment, and other policy issues entitled <em>Race: What South Africans really think<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The survey canvassed the views of a balanced sample of 2,245 people from all nine provinces.<\/p>\n<p>It covered both rural and urban areas and all socio-economic strata.
