The policy was introduced in August last year, and now\u00a0forms part of the JSE&#8217;s listing requirements.\u00a0The goal of the\u00a0policy is to achieve a 50-50 diversity balance where roles are <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/100374\/rich-white-men-in-suits-still-dominate-business-in-south-africa\/\">currently dominated by white men<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bdlive.co.za\/national\/2016\/03\/15\/sa-must-earn-back-trust-says-gordhan\" target=\"_blank\">South Africa has three months to prove to investors and ratings agencies that it can turn itself around.<\/a><\/strong> Following an investor roadshow to restore confidence in South Africa, finance minister Pravin Godhan has expressed confidence in his plan to reel the country&#8217;s budget in &#8211; and says that ratings agencies and investors are on board, but watching closely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>South Africa\u2019s rand fell as much as 2.4% against the dollar in generally risk averse trade on Monday, weighed down by worries that a credit rating downgrade could be looming. On Tuesday the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.xe.com\/currencycharts\/?from=USD&amp;to=ZAR\" target=\"_blank\">rand was trading weaker against the dollar at R15.54 &#8211; it was also R22.17 to the pound and R17.26 to the euro<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>In global news,\u00a0with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/global-markets-idUSL3N16N1HU\" target=\"_blank\">the global economy slowing and many countries facing deflationary pressures<\/a><\/strong>, investors&#8217; focus remain squarely on policy decisions from the world&#8217;s major central banks.\u00a0Next on the central bank roster is the US Federal Reserve on Wednesday and the Bank of England and the Swiss National Bank on Thursday.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-global-oil-idUSKCN0WH02G\" target=\"_blank\">Oil prices fell in Asian trade on Tuesday, extending losses from the session before<\/a> <\/strong>as concerns start to take hold that a six-week recovery will peter out as markets remain oversupplied.\u00a0US\u00a0crude was\u00a014 cents lower at $37.04 a barrel, and\u00a0Brent crude\u00a0was down 20 cents at $39.33.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>In other news<\/strong>: <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iol.co.za\/business\/news\/sa-saudi-arabia-launch-r5bn-solar-plant-1997529\" target=\"_blank\">South Africa and Saudi Arabia are ready to launch\u00a0their\u00a0R5 billion solar energy plant &#8211; the Bokpoort Concentrated Solar Power (CSP)<\/a><\/strong>.
