The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 has arrived in South Africa, a roadster classic that pays homage to one of the most iconic racing Jaguars: the three-time Le Mans-winning Jaguar D-Type.<\/p>\n

The car won the prestigious\u00a0 French endurance race in 1965, 1966 and 1967, while the number seven is a salute to Jaguar\u2019s seven outright wins at the 24-hour race.<\/p>\n

Handbuilt by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations team, this limited-edition model will see a production run of 250 units, with only five allocated for South Africa.<\/p>\n

The car is powered by Jaguar\u2019s 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, producing 423kW and 680Nm.<\/p>\n

The all-aluminium-bodied car is capable of accelerating to 100km\/h in 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 300km\/h.<\/p>\n

Power is sent to the rear wheels through Jaguar\u2019s eight-speed Quickshift transmission and second generation Electronic Active Differential (EAD).<\/p>\n

Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes, available as an option on the F-TYPE R Coup\u00e9, are fitted as standard on F-TYPE Project 7.<\/p>\n
