Tesla will bring its new Model 3 to South Africa \u2013 those interested in the car can register for their pre-order from today, which requires a $1,000 deposit.<\/p>\n

India, Brazil, South Korea, Singapore, New Zealand, and Ireland are also set to receive the electric car.<\/p>\n

The Tesla Model 3 was unveiled<\/strong><\/a> during the early hours of 1 April SA time, boasting a range of 346km and a $35,000 price tag.<\/p>\n

The Model 3 is set to ship\u00a0in late 2017.<\/p>\n

Tesla said it will begin deliveries in North America starting on the West Coast, moving east.<\/p>\n

A MyBroadband reader who placed their order said while they were charged in US dollars for the registration, the conversion was set at R15 per dollar.<\/p>\n
