{"id":121477,"date":"2016-04-24T08:10:03","date_gmt":"2016-04-24T06:10:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/?p=121477"},"modified":"2016-04-24T08:27:50","modified_gmt":"2016-04-24T06:27:50","slug":"brics-bank-job-meant-for-nene-still-sitting-empty-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/businesstech.co.za\/news\/business\/121477\/brics-bank-job-meant-for-nene-still-sitting-empty-report\/","title":{"rendered":"BRICS Bank job meant for Nene still sitting empty: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The job which was meant for former finance minister Nhlanhla Nene\u00a0&#8211; and was the given reason for his sudden\u00a0firing &#8211; is still vacant, according to Rapport.<\/p>\n<p>According to the paper, the BRICS development bank is struggling to fill the position and has\u00a0kept applications for the job open until 2 May 2016.<\/p>\n<p>However, the group should not expect an application from Nene, as the former minister has taken at least two new position in the private sector, and has said he has no intention of taking on any more.<\/p>\n<p>On 12 December 2015, president Jacob Zuma announced a surprise shuffle in his cabinet, firing Nene as the country\u2019s finance minister.
